Women

Women, as we know face more challenges in getting into the political process ,than men, more so over ethnic women. While we believe that most men are supportive of it, far too often we don't see them there signing memberships or filling the war chest.

Women's position in the society varies from culture to culture, but as Liberals we should encourage them to not only participate in the democratic process, but also lead it.. so how do we do it....

1. Encourage Minimum Membership numbers:
   The Liberal Party should encourage more participation at the grass-root level. As a bare minimum 1/3rd of a riding membership should consist of women. This will encourage more participation.
2. Secure 1/10th of the party funds to support women candidates. Vitamin M is a major challenge for women and the party should support it.
